  1. Refractometer Baseline: Calibrate to Air (RI 1.000). Place stone table-down over test prism with closed lid. Verify natural diamond band between 2.410 and 2.420.
  2. Deep UV Transmittance (SDS II): Place colorless stone on screening stage. 254nm excitation will be absorbed by Type Ia natural aggregated nitrogen (Blue result). Type IIa laboratory CVD/HPHT specimens transmit deep UV (Red flag).
  3. SWUV Phosphorescence Test: Observe stone in a completely dark chamber after 20 seconds of 254nm illumination. Persistent blue/green afterglow indicates trace boron impurities typical of HPHT growth.
